Some couples have a deep commitment to shared goals, to family, to common charitable interests that form some of the substantial glue that holds them together. For TV and movie actor (and one-time law student) Jerry O’Connell and his actress/model wife, Rebecca Romijn, it is all about the Bravo network. Or more specifically, about their mutual interest and enjoyment of the Real Housewives franchise.
The two married in July of 2007 and together are raising twin daughters, Dolly and Charlie, while still being engaged in their individual careers. As of yet, there appear to be no cracks in the happy foundation that makes up the O’Connell and Romijn household. And according to O’Connell, that appears to be at least somewhat due to their more lighthearted Bravo indulgence.
“You want to know the secrets to our marriage? We both actively watch every Housewives franchise and we talk about it,” O’Connell told the Daily Dish. “But it was the Housewives. I mean, I guess Orange County was the first one, right? And we would watch it. And I remember my wife was like, ‘You have to watch this show.’ And I was like ‘I’m not watching that show. I’m not watching it.’ And we have a television in our bedroom and we started to watch it and it became the glue that bonds us.”
In the realm of marital advice and secrets to a good, long-lasting union, one may well never hear such words of wisdom again, but its practice seems to be working for O’Connell and Romijn.
So stay tuned in to Bravo, folks!
