Danielle Staub has had a history of often controversial behavior on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Faithful viewers can no doubt recall her consistent and near-universal clashes with other cast members over the first two seasons of RHONJ.
Now it would seem, rather than keeping to the formula of orchestrated drama typical to the Real Housewives franchise, Danielle is once again stirring up trouble for the Bravo network. This would not seem to bode well for Staub if she is aiming for a full-time role, rather than the part-time one she currently holds.
Apparently, 55-year-old Staub and her fiance, 65-year-old Marty Caffrey engaged in a quick sexual encounter in the bathroom of Joe and Melissa Gorga’s newly opened restaurant. Classy. Staub even went so far as to share some of the sordid details with her fellow cast mates, with several of them, in turn, expressing displeasure and disgust at her actions. Talk about TMI.
Additionally, producers decided to scrap footage of Staub and Caffrey’s “surprise engagement” following her threat to sue if the network aired the sex scene, which they also subsequently pulled before running it in what was to be the upcoming season 8.
Insiders told Radar Online that Staub’s was “way too much trouble” and that her particular brand of drama was on the “ X-rated” side. Indeed. “She fought with the production company to keep the sickening sex scene out of the show. So, they cut her engagement out of the show.” Furthermore, reportedly the rest of the ladies of RHONJ did eventually confront Staub’s about the recent controversy while filming the season 8 reunion, which will be interesting to see when the time comes.
Stay tuned, Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers!
